Background

Eric's passion for playing in the garden lead him to pursue a degree in Landscape Horticulture from the University of Maine. He worked in the Roger Clapp Greenhouse and Fay Highland Botanical Gardens on campus while in attendance. He also assisted in research at Cornell's New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, New York.

Eric worked for various landscaping companies after graduating, tending to private residences and commercial properties throughout southern Maine until he started his own company in 2016.

In 2018 he became the City Horticulturist for Portland, Maine where he was in charge of the city gardens and natural spaces. He designed tulip and annual flower displays, container gardens, park gardens, maintained an award winning rose garden, and reclaimed areas for naturalized meadows and wildlife habitat.

Eric moved to Rochester, MN with his family in 2024 where he now offers his unique expertise to people wishing to enhance the natural beauty of their homes.
